The smell of misery

The smell of misery is heavy on the air
The  president is a Liar and a cheater
Our prime minister is a pretty boy wannabe
Spending us into bankruptcy
Rocket man pushing bottoms
Russia pushing needles
What is the point of life
All so absurd till the end
Then it makes sense
Floating in the darkness of the sea

What is going to happen
What is going to happen to you
What is going to happen to me

Mocking  Satire at all the excess wealth
A Narcissistic president with big hair and small hands
Tweeting morally debased rhetoric
The me too movement
Protecting him the office he holds
A actor for a prime minister
Who writes his lines
Taxing the poor to pay the wealthy
Policies so nakedly commercial
Gloating in the shadows

What is going to happen
What is going to happen to you
What is going to happen to me

axiom-spouting war monks
Terrorizing women and children
Keeping them negatively educated
Strapping bombs on the delusional young
Government sponsored Retweeting bots
Hypocrisy of organized religion
The pope who stands and denies
What is the point of life
So absurd till we die
Then it makes sense
Floating in the darkness

What is going to happen
What is going to happen to you
What is going to happen to me

The smell of misery is heavy on the air
tradition and doctrine don’t really matter
spiritual history through new myths for this pluralistic society
Playing catch up in the moral necessities
The here and now
This politicians are no iconoclasts
during a time of seismic shifts
Life becomes meaningless
Billionaires fly to Switzerland
Paying 75 dollars for a hamburger

What’s going to happen
What’s going to happen
What’s going to happen to you
What’s going to happen to me
