Innocent vivacious Angels
Poignant solitariness
Listening to oceans in a shell
But unable to be seen
A beauty of a blossom
The strength of a tree
That won’t break
And that doesn’t bend
That challenges life
That survives to bloom yet again
An eternal optimist
Trying to live forever in paradise
A mischievous glances
Some things appear as something else
Combustible stability
Volatile reluctance of the sublime
An innocent angel named Divine
With horns and wings
Mocking expressions of enchantment
Straddling the fine line of veracity
Mesmerizing and melting
With a sarcastic charisma
A searing effect
That gregarious curiosity
One small footstep at a time
There are no exits
When you’re lost in time

Primal orange
Go back to the hill
See how small it is
The years will fall away
Like leaves off the trees
Ticking off like seconds on a clock
Enjoy today being all grown up
In seconds you will hate
Being a man looking back
At this day thinking so naïve

Burning up and crashing down
Burning up and crashing down
Losing hope as we go
Watching as the sun goes down
Anticipating the wreckage
She said my name
a little surprised was I
She even knew who I was
Her eyes consuming my soul
Burning up and crashing down
Losing hope as we go
Watching the sun disappear
Anticipating the end of time
The words roll off her lips
Sounding like sweetness
Promising dripping honey
Her eyes consuming the dawn
Burning up and crashing down
Losing hope as we go
Watching the sun kiss the horizon
Anticipating letting go
Her body dances like silk
Moving in the shadow of light
A predator luring her game
Those eyes frosting my soul
Burning up and the crashing down
Losing hope as we go
Watching the sun crawl at the dawn
Tear drops in the blue sky
Her lips move closer
All those colors dance in those eyes
Twinkling star dust
In that minute I believed
Burning up and crashing down
Losing hope as the crow flies
The sun is up and we have places to go
The frost burning my soul
The words are touching
Reaching in to grip
Slowly making sense
Tear drops in the blue sky
Burning up and crashing down
Losing hope as we go
Watching as the sun goes down
Anticipating the wreckage

Bohemian
Bohemian love song
Sung in a smoke filled room
Under the glare of a single light bulb
A blue haze over cast
About a girl made of stone
Standing in the street
Looking so pretty
covered in a marble sheet
a fountain that people once thought essential
much can change in a single day
sitting on a corner coffee shop
looking a statue that once was significant
of a pretty face made of marble
in a foreign city any where
about this time sometime tomorrow
with cup in hand
seeing into the future
one second at a time
the monotone voice of a broken man
singing under a single blue light
wanting to see her face
through eyes that are blind
a girl made of stone
long since gone
under the moon light of tomorrow
living into the future
one second at a time
much can change in a single day
looking into the potential prospect
expectations in broken stone chips
on the coble around the fountain base
sitting at a corner coffee shop
looking at a statue that once was
of a pretty face made of marble
in a foreign city my own home town
about this time some time yesterday
a monotone voice fills the air
as the man sits there
with a cup in hand
will he not look at me
all I have is this marble sheet
every day I watch him walking to that shop
sit in a chair and look at that clock
singing that song of despair
Centuries come and I have waited
For this man to appear for the fated
With the words that turned me to stone
A voice will unlock your heart
Chip at the marble that holds you in its grip
Walking free in the light of a blue moon
A single step in rhythm with that monotone
So long I have waited
For this love that was fated
Walking slowly towards that single chair
The monotone voice pulling me near
A single blue light filling the haze
In a smoke filled room disfranchised
All those lonely broken hearted
Their eyes looking down cast in memories
A foreign town I call my own
Much can change on any given day
Walking in the future one second at a time
Walking over these streets made of rock
Coming back to this single coffee shop
With cup in hand listening
that monotone voice filling the air
a blue haze under this clock
looking at that fountain marble statue
His beautiful face telling me stories
everyday I find myself sitting here
waiting for the blue moon delight
Sung in a smoke filled room
Under the glare of a single light bulb
A blue haze over cast
About a girl made of stone

XV
15 minutes in time
Three hundred breathes
If that was all there was
What would you do
Would you make a list
Think about the simple things
The things that were missed
Two hundred and fifty breathes
Call mom and dad
Just sit and wonder why
Wish for perfection
Know the unattainable
A number counting down
Like the percentage it’s going to rain
Two hundred remaining what to do
Look at a list of regrets
Like rain drops in the sun
Call the people that are important
The ones that touched a part deep inside
You would make that list
But would you understand
A call to say hi but not good bye
A hundred and fifty
Just thinking we all breathe
at the same rate in the end
breathing as one in silence
fifteen minutes in time
every one has their fame
some only appear with distain
yesterdays memories fleeting
seventy percent rain
some only see the rain
others see there is a thirty percent chance of sunshine
looking at yesterdays and tomorrows
quashed between the endings of today
a hundred remaining
ten more hellos to go
saving the first for last
two no answers
three message managers
two others really to engrossed to chat
one moved with no forwarding number
only one more to try
smiling at the silence
you made my list
many never would
some would be surprised
some would wonder why
we all breathe the some air
we all breathe in unison
all with the same heart
a voice on the air
hello who is this
the past blending into the future

the things we do
In the things we do
Vulnerabilities in the things we do
Conceits in the way we wager our souls
In this world of no mercy
The voice from no where
Always accumulating concessions
Judging one to be self righteous
Hope in the meaning
Astonish in an auspicious manner
The inevitable regret
Pensive malice eating the foundation
Exhausting weariness
The shameful relief
Measurement of finality
Lingering over motivations
Spawned indigestible ironies
Regret the opiate of fools
Shaking indecisions
Accommodating impertinence
Mercury dramatics
Precious commodity that of greed
Masquerading as honesty
A burden absolved
Hard to see
Impossible to grasp
Anonymity lost on the crowd
Pantomime the inveterate
Vulnerabilities in the things we do
Conceits in the way we wager our souls
In this world of no mercy
The voice from no where

Whimsical liar
Whimsical liar
Building it up
And breaking it down
As a star rips across the clouds
Burning up trying to get home
The lies you told
So wanting to believe
What a fool I turned out to be
What a cheat all that deceit made you to me
Whimsical liar
Building us up
And ripping us apart
As a star tares across the clouds
Burning all the way to the ground
The lies you said
All a cover up
Distracting from the deceit
From the cheat you turn out to be
What a fool you seem now to me
Whimsical liar
Making it up
And tarring it down
That is all I can remember
As you try to make it up
In some small way
All those lies add up
Even believing some of them
All just to cover up the treachery
I can see it now
All so very clearly
Whimsical liar
Building it up
And tarring it down
Whimsical liar
Building us up
And ripping us down
As the star you once were
Burns out as I turn
And walk the other way
Building it up
And breaking it down
As a star rips across the clouds
Burning up trying to get home
The lies you told
So wanting to believe
What a fool I turned out to be
What a cheat all that deceit made you to me
Whimsical liar
Building us up
