Even Angels cry

Even Angels cry

Even Angels cry
What makes such a creature shed tears?
Is it because they once had a soul
They remember the one that broke their essence
Now and again memories appear
Like ghosts on the wind
A smell, a taste, a glance
The Figure only an outline
There one second then gone
Memories crash them angels down
Tears dropping from no where
The figure fresh in their minds
Like a puff of smoke
Apart of their makeup
A place, a time of year or the color of snow
Bring those memories back
Like the shadows on a broken rock
Sounds of the shadows a gift to only those that can hear
Hills angels run from
As the rocks come tumbling down
Their wings clipped just enough
That their tears make their cheeks hurt
Memories fresh in their mind
Of the person they once were
The outline of the person they are so connected to
Regrets they turned their backs on
Angels can be puffs of smoke too
